The WVSDAE School received a $2580 grant from Adventist Whole Health Network to be used to purchase a filtered and cooled water drinking fountain for the school, augment a hot lunch program for the students, provide support materials for classroom health education, and sponsor in partnership with the school and local churches a health education event for the local community. Rick Chrisman, the director of AWHN, and his associates Mr. and Mrs. Shobe, visited the school on January 17, 2019, to get acquainted with the students and staff and observe the impact that the grant is having on the school, the students, and the community. During the visit Mr. Chrisman presented the school with the balance of the grant funds.
