On January 5, 2019, our school presented the church service at Berwick SDA Church.
The teacher gave the children's story, using a science demonstration to illustrate Peter's faith and lack of faith when he walked on water. She used a "holder" to carefully place paperclips on the water, floating the paperclips using surface tension. The lesson was that when we depend on Jesus, we can accomplish things that we cannot do on our own. Then she dripped detergent on the water to break the surface tension and the paperclips sank. The detergent represented doubt and lack of faith (as in Peter sinking when he took his eyes off Jesus).
The students presented the sermon, "Faith Is the Victory," based on Heb. 11 and the first part of Heb. 12.
